Piano Program Director

Tetiana Ordono

Tetiana Ordono is a dedicated piano teacher and a proud military spouse originally from Ukraine. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a pianist and traveling the world—ambitions she
eventually fulfilled. Her musical journey began at the age of six when she practiced on a neighbor’s old, out-of-tune upright piano. Raised in a family
of engineers, no one could have predicted that early fascination with music would lead her to graduate with honors from Glier
Kyiv Institute of Music and later earn Master’s Degree at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

Tetiana started teaching music at the distinctive Kyiv Stetzenko Music School for adult students. At the same time, she taught gifted children of Lysenko Kyiv Specialized Music Boarding School. Her outstanding contributions to Ukraine’s cultural scene
earned her the Kyiv Mayor’s Award twice.

In 2009, Tetiana decided to chase her passion for travel by becoming a piano entertainer for major cruise lines and luxury hotels. This experience, which she describes as her “dream come true,” allowed her to perform on the Seven Seas, sharing her
piano favorites with audiences worldwide.

After nearly a decade at sea, Tetiana left her adventurous life behind to join her husband, U.S. Navy active duty member Robert Ordono. She resumed her piano teaching career, first in Virginia
Beach, VA, then in Albuquerque, NM, primarily instructing children from military families. Another relocation eventually brought her family to San Diego, CA.

Tetiana’s teaching philosophy is centered on creating an enjoyable, high-quality learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels. She values diversity and strives to inspire and
empower her students to express themselves through music and gain confidence in public performances.
